    The looking has already been done

    Months of searching, a few dozen objects, and nothing here chosen to fill a shelf.

    1. Found, not ordered

      From small workshops that rarely sell into Britain, bought in short runs. Nothing arrives by the pallet.

    2. Made properly

      Most are made by hand. The rest come from small studios using specialist processes, and every product page says which.

    3. Made to be kept

      Leather, good paper and metal fittings, made well enough to stay in use.

    Tissue, honeycomb wrap for anything fragile, a cream kraft outer and paper tape. No plastic in the box, and all of it can go in your recycling. No prices inside either, so it can go straight on to whoever it is for.
